The “Lightweight Hunter” is our version of the “ultra light” or “mountain rifle”. It is based on a fully blueprinted Remington Model Seven action for accuracy and to save weight. The Remington extractor is replaced with a Sako style for reliability. The Remington trigger is tuned for a crisp release for a hunting rifle. We then install either a Douglas Air Gage or Shilen Match Grade #1 weight barrel in the customer’s choice of caliber. Any short or medium caliber is appropriate up to the Remington SAUM and the Winchester WSM calibers. We fit and glass bed either a Brown Precision “Pound’r” Kevlar stock or a High Tech Specialties lightweight stock. We usually finish the stock with an industrial grade black wrinkle finish for a very nice look and a non slip grip. The stock can be painted just about any automotive color available or our own one of a kind of camouflage pattern. The weight of the “Lightweight Hunter” without scope starts about 5 pounds and increases with barrel length and brake if wanted. This rifle is very easy to carry and has the available magnum calibers for large game such as elk.

The Lightweight Hunter comes with your choice of blued or stainless steel in either polished or matte finish and any stock color. It comes with a plastic/foam shipping case, Dewey cleaning rod and Dewey rod guide. The gun is priced using the customer’s action and any of the above choices at $1875. Options are listed below.
