THE CLASSIC HUNTER
Custom Remington 700 Left Hand 7mm WSM.
This gun started as a blued 700 BDL LH 243 Win.
The Classic Hunter covers most standard weight hunting
style rifles. The Classic Hunter allows almost unlimited options for your custom
rifle. The rifle is based on most available bolt action receivers and available
stock blanks. In our experience the customer can’t do much better than a good
Remington 700 or Montana 1999 action. The receiver and bolt is fully blueprinted
to make sure that all surfaces are square and true to the action centerline. We
also install a Sako style extractor on the Remington bolt. A Douglas Air Gage or
Shilen Match grade barrel is installed to benchrest quality standards. Barrel
weights from #1 to #5A silhouette contour are available. All standard calibers
are available. Wildcats are available at additional cost if wanted. We then
install either the Brown Precision or High Tech Specialties Fiberglass Classic
style stock. The stock is glass bedded with a full floating barrel channel. A
Pachmayr pad is installed and the stock is finished with industrial grade
Wrinkle Paint. As with the Lightweight Hunter about any color auto paint can be
used on the stock or you can choose our camouflage pattern. Wood stocks in
either English or black walnut or laminated wood are available as an option. The
metal can be either polished or matte blue or stainless steel. The Classic
Hunter comes with a plastic/foam shipping case, Dewey cleaning rod and Dewey rod
guide. The gun is priced using the customer’s action and any of the above
choices at $1875. Options are listed below.
